About VLCC – VLCC is one of the best salons or beauty parlor chain in India. They offer a huge variety of services like Hair smoothening, Hair loss treatment, Hair fall treatment, Hair Regrowth treatment, Hair Spa, Permanent hair removal like – Laser treatments for hair removal and also various facial and skin treatments. It also offers Bridal packages including bridal makeup packages.
VLCC, a well-known Indian beauty, and wellness brand organized a mega event to unveil the bridal looks – VLCC Couture Bridal Look of 2017. The event witnessed an exciting ramp walk where four different makeup looks were showcased along with ace fashion designers showcasing their masterpieces. The event was sponsored by renowned brands across industries, namely Bausch & Lomb, Red FM, BMW, L’Oréal, Shree Raj Mahal Jewellers and Gardens Galleria.

The four stunning makeup looks which were revealed, namely the ‘Vintage Look’, the ‘Dramatic Look’, the ‘Red Carpet’ look and the ‘Bridal Look’.

The ‘Vintage Look’ was inspired from the 1950-60s. This look included statement bright bold lipstick and winged liner. The makeup was quite retro inspired and had a very old school sexy feel to it. The hairstyles were all sleek and pulled into different styles of buns. The makeup look was completed with retro fashion inspired line “Rajputana” works, created by young designer Samant Chauhan.

The second theme of the show was the ‘Dramatic Look’. These looks were created by An Italian makeup artist, Ms. Catrina Chiari. The makeup inspiration was drawn from ‘theater’. It was “off the global runway” type of look. As the name suggests the makeup and hair were big with strong accents. One particular makeup look caught my fancy was a red painted face which was very graphic and bold. Another hairstyle which was quite unique had a bunch of buns. The attire complimented these looks were designed by Rina Dhaka.

The third theme was the ‘Red carpet look’ which drew inspiration from our very own Bollywood Divas. Smokey eyes and nude lips were the trademarks of this makeup look. Faces were extremely contoured and highlighted to depict the glamour of the look. The hair again was tied into various buns. I wanted to see sexier big voluminous hair for this theme. The attire for this section was designed by Ms. Nikita Tandon. The evening gowns were of jewel tones and had a certain fluidity to them.

The fourth and the most awaited section was the ‘Bridal Look’. This section was divided into two sub sections. The first section showcased the theme of ‘contemporary brides’. The makeup of the contemporary bride had it all from glitter to dark cut crease eye makeup. The modern brides are not afraid in exploring the makeup looks so it had both nude lips as well as bold red lips. The attire of this section was mostly cream and in shades of tan based. The flow of the dress was fluid and there was a lot of intricate detailing to them. There was a lot of indo-western elements in the designing as well. The attire was designed by Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor.

The second section of the ‘Bridal Look’ was dedicated to the traditional Indian brides with a lot of red, pink and golden in the dresses. The dresses were a typical lehenga choli with heavy embroidery and lots of intricate detailing. Makeup was again diverse. From soft and sultry to bold and beautiful, there was an array of looks.

Last but not the least; Esha Gupta was the showstopper of the show. She was wearing the beautiful lehenga of them all. It was a cream and red lehenga . It was very soft in look and the back of the choli had caught my fancy. The makeup was too the point and her hair was tied into a loose braid. She was portraying a soft and dreamy bride. The makeup was designed by Shaan Mutthatil. I would like to mention the backdrop of the stage here at this point which was absolutely brilliantly lighted and was accompanied by the sounds of drums and horns. It was quite enchanting.
I would like to congratulate the VLCC for successfully executing this brilliant show and especially for creating these masterpieces for the people who love the brand.
