My baby has extremely dry and sensitive skin. I cannot apply anything and everything on her skin. I need to be extra careful hoping she doesn’t develop some sort of allergy to the applied product. After trying out a lot of body lotions, I have settled for Cetaphil moisturizing lotion after my pediatrician suggested it. Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion is something which I’ve seen been used by adults, therefore, I was slightly apprehensive about using it but my pediatrician assured me that it can be used for baby’s delicate skin as well. So I am sharing my experience with Cetaphil Moisturing Lotion when used for babies. Please note that I am using basic Indian version of the lotion, neither the imported one nor the Cetaphil Baby range.

My Experience with Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion
The packaging is very basic. It comes in a small, square-shaped, white plastic bottle with flip open cap. The cap shuts tightly and is spill proof. The bottle is sturdy and is very convenient while traveling.
Cetaphil moisturizing lotion has just the right consistency. It is neither too thick nor too thin. This is one good thing as I do not prefer lotions that are too runny as a lot of product gets wasted while pouring out. You only need a small quantity in a single go. I use this lotion once after a bath and once before putting my baby to bed at night. One bottle lasts easily for around a month for my kiddo.
This lotion gets absorbed easily into the baby’s skin with a little massage. It is best applied after a bath when the skin is slightly damp. It does not feel sticky, once it fully gets absorbed. The skin looks healthy, well-nourished and soft to touch. This lotion is fragrance-free so, would not irritate the baby’s nose. It never accelerated any rash or acne on my baby’s skin. It deeply nourishes the skin and makes it really supple and healthy. The dryness vanishes with continuous use for a couple of days. It heals the skin from within so it stays supple for a long time. Despite my baby has an extremely dry skin it keeps it nourished for more than 12 hours. Frequent reapplication isn’t necessary.
A few days back ( I ran out of the lotion) my baby had an episode of extreme flaking on tummy and back because of cold weather. I immediately started applying the Cetaphil Moiturising Lotion and her skin restored and flaking was gone in just a couple of days.
This formula can be used throughout the year. The price is a little bit expensive but still, agreeable as you need a small quantity at a single time.
